You cannot find another name as universally beloved as Von Trapp!
Sofia, Melanie, Amanda, and August von Trapp are the great-grandchildren of the Sound of Music’s Captain and Maria von Trapp. They have sung all over the world to critical acclaim and packed houses.
While touring, the siblings began to comprehend the magnitude of the Sound of Music story, and what it meant to people. “After the shows, people would come up to us and would be like, ‘I met your grandmother….I heard her sing in this hall 50 years ago’… That’s when we started to kind of understand that we were carrying on something”
The von Trapps are reinventing the legacy of their birthright for the modern age honing a folk-pop sound that’s uniquely theirs, carrying on the family tradition while beginning their own.
Opening for the von Trapps is The Band Dakota. THESE THREE SISTERS FROM DANBURY, CONNECTICUT have set their sights on making a huge entrance in the country music world. When they went to Nashville they captured the eyes and ears of music row!!
