Each September the American Library Association (ALA) and libraries nationwide celebrate Library Card Sign Up Month in recognition of the significant contributions public libraries make towards lifelong learning, personal development, and community connection. This year’s theme is One Card, Endless Possibilities which highlights just how much you can do with your library card.
Danbury Library encourages everyone in our community to sign up for a new library card or renew their current one. Everyone who signs up or renews their card in person during the campaign will be entered for a chance to win two tickets to see Wally Lamb on October 16 at Edmond Town Hall, or four tickets to the Elf Movie Party on Sunday, November 30, at 2:00 PM at The Palace.
Getting and using your library card is easy and convenient. Apply online or drop in and see us. Additionally, this month Danbury Library is launching Card Concierge, a service that takes care of making your library card while you attend a library program, saving you time and allowing you to focus on the fun your library has to offer.
Danbury Library is more than just books! With your library card, you can access digital collections, including TV, music and movies from the comfort of home. Or you can visit us in person to borrow technology, utilize our reservable spaces, and attend exciting programming. Our team is here to help you discover all the incredible resources and opportunities your library card unlocks.
